Braun Silk-épil’s unique online competition ‘Beauty with Confidence’ which helped 4 young women overcome their confidence barriers and discover the beauty of self-confidence, today announced contestant Melody Jeha as the winner.

Melody Jeha from Lebanon, showcased the most compelling evolution post the confidence workshops organized by Braun Silk-épil. A panel of experts judged Melody’s various internal and external improvements, including: assertiveness, style and overall positivity.

The transformational journey of the four lucky girls was showcased as webisodes on Braun Beauty Arabia’s facebook page. The public then went on to watch these webisodes and voted for their favorite candidate. Melody who claimed the highest polled voting score of 3012 points was the unanimous winner.

“It was truly a once in a life time opportunity.” says Melody Jeha, Braun’s Miss Confidence. This Competition gave me the opportunity to meet experts who helped me recognize my potential and outlined a clear plan of action. Most importantly, I learned that beauty lies within every person and confidence is key to reflecting one’s inner beauty.” 

In December of 2012 Braun Silk-epil 5, which is all about smooth skin confidence invited girls from across the region to be shortlisted as the 4 candidates who would undergo confidence make-overs by a panel of experts. Three leading experts along with Saudi Arabia’s inspirational young artist, Aseel Omran picked 4 candidates from over hundreds  entries to take part in these workshops.

Three leading experts, image consultant Mimi Raad, skin expert, Dr. Shazia Ali, and psychologist, Samineh Shaheem created workshops and became mentors in an effort to elevate the candidates’ self-confidence and prepare them for life’s challenges.

“From the first moment I saw melody there was something special about her, says, Samineh Shaheem, the expert psychologist. There was this calm sort of feminine disposition where her soft voice didn’t exhibit her confidence and we worked together to achieve that”, explained Samineh.

Twenty three year old Melody will be using the prize money to pursue a career in interior designing with a long term view of starting her own business.
