Burgan Bank Sponsors the Sabah Al-Ahmad School Beautification Campaign in Cooperation with Al-Ahmadi Governorate

Under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Fawaz Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Governor of Al Ahmadi, Burgan Bank concluded its sponsorship of the social campaign dedicated to the beautification of Sabah Al-Ahmad schools, as part of the “My Governorate is the Most Beautiful” program. The campaign fell under the umbrella of the annual partnership between the two parties. It took part in a joint effort to drive sustainable development across the Kuwaiti community, as part of the Bank’s strategic social responsibility endeavors.

The initiative primarily aimed at renovating the Governorate’s educational buildings, fostering a love of art amongst the students by artistically decorating playgrounds, classrooms, and other facilities. The renovations were carried out by representatives from various ministries, public authorities, volunteer groups and residents of Al Ahmadi. 

Speaking on the joint endeavor, Ms. Hessa Al-Najadah, Senior Manager of Corporate and CSR Communications at Burgan Bank, said: “We are excited about the positive impact that this initiative will sure have on our community. We also consider this campaign a notable milestone in the strategic cooperation between Burgan Bank and Al-Ahmadi Governorate. As a Bank, we continue to seek to support important social initiatives such as this, which enhance the educational and  social environment for these schools’ students. Additionally, we remain committed to fostering an artistic atmosphere that sparks innovation and inspires creativity at a young age.” 

On his side, the Director of the Technical Bureau at Al Ahmadi Governorate, Ibrahim Al-Fodari, noted that the campaign was launched in 2016 to beautify and green the governorate’s schools, in addition to spreading a culture of environmental awareness amongst the students. He also pointed out that this year’s campaign was organized with the support of Burgan Bank, one of Al Ahmadi Governorate’s most active partners and took place at the Jumana Bint Al-Hassan Secondary School for Girls and Ayoub Hussein Al-Ayoub Secondary School for Boys.
