Burgan Bank, as Strategic Sponsor, Participates in CODED’s 2025 Academy X Graduation Ceremony

Under the umbrella of its strategic partnership with CODED, the dedicated coding academy, Burgan Bank concluded its sponsorship of the second edition of Academy X, one of the largest women empowerment initiatives in Kuwait’s technology sector. The Bank’s participation in the closing ceremony, held at Kuwait University and attended by more than 500 graduates from the three cohorts of the 2025 edition, underscored its ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that empower women and nurture national talent in the fields of entrepreneurship and technology. The event was attended by members from Burgan Bank management, representatives from CODED and the families of the graduates, celebrating the participants remarkable achievements and growth throughout the program.
Burgan Bank’s sponsorship of Academy X, now in its second year, reflects its ongoing commitment to investing in Kuwait’s national talent and supporting the goals of Kuwait Vision 2035. It also underscores the Bank’s proactive role as a driving force contributing to the digital transformation across the country’s key sectors.

Following the sponsors’ speeches and a showcase of the program’s best 100 projects, Burgan Bank presented the “Best Sustainable Project” award to the team whose capstone project demonstrated the most innovative use of technology in creating positive impact for both the community and environment.
Designed for participants ages 14-18, Academy X presented to more than 500 young women with the opportunity to build and enhance their digital and soft skills, including the latest artificial intelligence (AI) tools, app and web development, successful user interface and user experience design (UI/UX), the foundations of entrepreneurship, as well as leadership and soft skills. Each round of the intensive program spanned six days and culminated in a capstone project that tested students’ knowledge and abilities to utilize technology in creative problem solving.
Following the outstanding success of the first two editions of Academy X, Burgan Bank continues to highlight the importance of empowering youth and fostering innovation in the fields of entrepreneurship and technology. This initiative reflects the Banks ongoing support for national talent development programs and its dedication to advancing digital transformation which is a key driver of Kuwait’s progress and sustainable growth.
