Al Bustan Centre & Residence conducts fire evacuation drill

Al Bustan Centre and Residence, the popular hotel apartment among visiting tourists and businessmen in the heart of Dubai, recently conducted fire evacuation drill in coordination with Dubai Civil Defence. The objective of the activity is to provide employees and guests the first hand experience on how to deal with the drill evacuation and the precautions to be taken in case of a fire.

Al Bustan Center & Residence carried out a successful fire evacuation drill, whereby 76 employees and long terms guests participated in the exercise. During the evacuation process two guests were evacuated using stretcher and wheel chair. The drill began at 10:20 a.m. and employees of Al Bustan Center & Residence were present in orange vests at the corridors, evacuation exists and assembly point area. Smoke was generated by a machine on the second floor of Block 1.

Moussa El Hayek, COO, Al Bustan Centre and Residence said:  “We conduct the fire evacuation drill on regular basis for the safety and security of our respectable guests, visitors and staff, and I highly appreciate the proactive approach of my team for carrying out such exercises while maintaining the service standards of our hotel apartments”.

The fire evacuation drill process was 95 percent success and the organizers include, Major Ahmed Kemidish Al Amri, Sergeant Hamdi Abdelkader and Sergeant Hassan Abbad Al bloushi, from Al Qusais Civil Defence expressed their satisfaction on the evacuation drill carried by the hotel. 

Mr. Hamdi said, “The drill was successfully done and we are completely satisfied about the progress, carrying out a drill at Al Bustan Center & Residence for the 5^th time, made it easier for the staff to gain confidence and complete exercise without mistakes, the response from the hotel staff was impressive.”
