Canadian Specialist Hospital announces Friday Clinics

In order to provide medical services to Dubai’s ever-increasing population of working professionals at their convenience, Canadian Specialist Hospital (CSH), one of the largest private hospitals in Dubai catering to the tertiary health care needs of the Middle East, has announced their ‘Friday Clinics’. The new service will offer consultations across all major specialties, at the outpatient clinic at their Abu Hail branch in Dubai, between 2 and 8 pm every Friday.

Dr. Hayder Al Zubaidy, CEO of CSH, said “UAE’s healthcare infrastructure is taking dynamic strides and making rapid progress to strengthen its position as a regional medical hub, in line with the country’s vision. Huge efforts are being undertaken by the Dubai Government to cater to the soaring demands of a rapidly growing population requiring basic medical services. Through our new service, we aim to tackle the diverse health issues ranging from the increasing demand for healthcare services, with increased accessibility for our patients.”

“People living in Dubai are susceptible to a number of lifestyle induced medical concerns like diabetes, cardiac diseases, hypertension and obesity, among others. The average age of patients contracting these chronic diseases is also reducing at an alarming rate. Through feedback received from our patients, we have understood the importance of adding this service, which aims to improve accessibility and also balance the rush at the hospital between Friday and Saturday”, added Mr. Zubaidy.

The move has been launched after taking into consideration the increasing demand among working professionals for the availability of medical services on their weekly day-off. Every year, Dubai witnesses an influx of expatriates who move to the city in pursuit of job opportunities. These working professionals deal with immense stress and pressures in their everyday work life, leaving them with very little time during the week to look after their medical needs. Keeping this in mind, CSH’s Friday Clinics aims to provide consultations with healthcare practioners at the day most convenient to them.
