Canon Middle East marks a new chapter in business solutions in the UAE

Canon Middle East opened the doors of its first regional business solutions showroom in Dubai. The opening represents a move by the company to consolidate market share of the Middle East and North African print industry, which is expected to grow to USD 11 billion by 2015. The opening follows Canon's acquisition of Océ, an international leader in digital document management and printing equipment in 2010.
Designed to meet the growing needs of B2B and industrial sectors in the UAE, the new showroom will be a one-stop shop for all commercial digital printing requirements. As such the showroom will display end-to-end business solutions such as large format printers (LFP), document and imaging management systems (DIMS) as well as its industry-leading range of office and professional printers. A strong line up of the Océ DP Line range are also on display at the showroom.
With the opening of the showroom, Canon’s focus will be on helping regional partners to see the bigger picture by providing them insight into what is important to their customers, through its unmatched portfolio of solutions and personalised consultancy services.
Naoshi Yamada, deputy managing director, Canon Middle East, said: “Printing technology is reaching the point where you buy a machine and it prints well, so you need to think beyond that. The industry needs to look at customer relationships and businesses need to look for opportunities to deepen these. For example, inspiring and supporting their customers with value added services that will have a positive impact on their business. The opening of a dedicated business solutions showroom which showcases all the possible opportunities within the sector is testament to this.”
“With the opening of a dedicated business solutions showroom in the region, our goal is to further reinforce our confidence in the future of the region’s evolving digital print landscape. The showroom not just showcases products, but is a holistic demonstration of print solutions from input to output. For example, the photo shooting zone in the showroom creatively showcases the link between our imaging and business solutions. The facility will also be of added value to regional partners by even utilising the designated areas for customer dedicated events and seminars,” added Yamada.
Maintaining its edge as a value added solutions provider in the Middle East market, the presence of strong third party partners such as Pitney Bows, Duplo, Fastbind, NT Ware, GMC, Objectif Lune, and Taopix, help ensures that Canon delivers holistic business solutions to professional print customers in the region.
Canon is committed to providing the highest standards of support in the industry, with a customer focused approach to both sales and service. The opening of the showroom also serves as the right platform to serve the many customers who have invested in Canon technology at drupa 2012, the world’s largest printing exhibition held last month in Germany.
