Capital Club steps up support to Bahrain’s Business Community in 2011

Capital Club, Bahrain's premier private business club, announced today that 2011 was a highly successful year of achievements in terms of fulfilling its vision as the leading facilitator for high end networking within Bahrain's elite business community. The Club registered an increase of 19 percent in membership growth in 2011 and is well prepared to welcome additional new Members this year.
Over the past year, there was a substantial increase in attendance at events hosted by the Club which witnessed a continuous flow of Members and guests utilizing the Club to hold social and business meetings, and to network. Many events were successfully organised and hosted by the Club as part of its series of business-oriented programs that facilitate networking among Members. The Club also held a number of events that helped augment professional development and support society, women, cultural heritage, as well as promoting local and international art.
Significant highlights for 2011 included an exclusive programme entitled 'An evening with the Minister' which provided Members and guests with the latest updates on various projects and programmes undertaken by the Government to bolster community relations in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Separate sessions hosted H.E. Shaikha Mai bint Mohammad Al Khalifa, Ministry of Culture; H.E. Essam Al Khalaf, Minister of Works; and H.E. Dr. Fatima Al-Balooshi, Minister of Human Rights and Social Development.
In addition, the Club hosted a diverse range of high-profile speakers addressing various topics of interest to all Members. 'Priority time based management' by Jean Nicolai; 'An even better place to work' by Shay MacConnon; 'How to network' an interactive session for ladies by Dr Clare Beckett-McInroy; Nuclear and Defense Technology' by Micheal Elleman; 'Become a black belt negotiator' by Tom Flatau all of which took place at the Club.
The trademark of Capital Club's dining experience is the diversity of cuisines, excellent quality food, bespoke dining options and top-end kitchen management which is handled by a dedicated and professional team, headed by Cyrille Troesch, the Executive Chef, who has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. As part of the second anniversary celebrations of the Club, a new tapas restaurant was opened on the 51st floor of the Bahrain Financial Harbour which caters to the specific needs of its Members and guests.
