Capturing the Perfect Moment With the All-New Samsung Galaxy S9+
Today, digital communication consists of more visuals and less words than ever before. Images and videos have become the new language for self-expression, and the most important functions of our smartphones have strayed from sending emails and browsing the web. Now, we depend on our smartphones to capture the fleeting moments that express what we want to say in an instant, and to do so in lifelike detail and clarity. The Samsung Galaxy S9 was designed with these priorities in mind, reimagining the camera for the way people communicate today – and with the Dual Camera on the Galaxy S9+, the opportunities for creative expression are limitless.
In 2017 alone, people around the world took 1.2 trillion photos on their smartphones – around a hundred billion more than they took in 2016. As our smartphone cameras increasingly replace digital cameras, with professional-level capabilities on par with those of a DSLR, our photos and videos are replacing text and email communication in the same stride. They say “a picture is worth a thousand words,” and with the Samsung Galaxy S9+, your images capture every message and moment perfectly.
Beyond a range of innovative smartphone features delivered by Samsung’s best-in-class Galaxy Foundation of design innovation and cutting-edge technology, the Galaxy S9+ is equipped with Samsung’s best-yet Dual Camera to unlock powerful experiences every day and help you share them effortlessly.
Perfect Pictures in Any Setting
Because we often take pictures in less-than-ideal lighting conditions, the Galaxy S9+ features an improved circular Dual Aperture that outsmarts the human eye by automatically adjusting to lighting conditions. Just as the iris would expand and retract, so does the camera’s aperture feature, allowing in the right amount of light to capture any image in striking clarity. What’s more, the low light camera on the S9+ boasts the brightest available F1.5 aperture lens and updated multi-frame noise reduction, ensuring that your photos always tell a clear story – even in dim or low light. And with Samsung’s Dual Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), your photos will always come out crisp, even with a shaky hand.
Crystal Clear Videos that Capture Every Moment
The Super Slow-mo feature on the Galaxy S9+ captures what your eyes can’t with video that is four times slower than traditional slow-motion smartphone videos, and automatic motion detection that can distinguish the fleeting moment you wish to capture. Further, Samsung lets you truly customize the video by shooting a Single-take with one Slow-mo capture or a Multi-take with up to 20 Slow-mo portions for a longer final video. From there, you can add music to your video, convert it into a GIF file, or even set your video as a wallpaper on your home or lock screen.
A Smarter Camera is a Better Camera
The redesigned camera on the Galaxy S9+ was built with a range of smart features that utilize machine learning, Bixby, and AR technology to help your camera do what it couldn’t before. From instantly translating foreign languages and currency in real time using Live Translation, to finding information about the food you’re eating with Food Mode or trying new makeup styles virtually in Makeup Mode, Bixby uses deep learning technology to detect and analyze what your camera is pointing at and instantly generating information directly on top of the image. The Galaxy S9+’s camera also takes AR technology beyond function and makes it fun with AR Emoji, a personalized avatar and emoji created with facial recognition technology. All you have to do is take a selfie to create your own emoji that mimics your movements and expressions with impressive accuracy.
The Galaxy S9 is built for the way we use our smartphones today; and the Dual Camera on the Galaxy S9+ helps you communicate, share, and experience the world in entirely new ways. Driven by a commitment to defying barriers, Samsung has completely reimagined the latest addition to the Galaxy S family, delivering meaningful innovations that set new standards for smartphone functionality.
