Careem Ride-Hailing App Launches in Jounieh

Careem is not only simplifying people’s lives in Beirut now, but also in Jounieh.

Careem, the region’s leading ride-hailing service, has announced its launch in Jounieh, on July 19th, just in time for a sizzling summer. In line with Careem’s plan to expand and support more Lebanese cities, the new launch provides accessibility and connects Lebanon’s capital to the vibrant and historically rich city of Jounieh.

Because Lebanon is a relatively small country, people often travel from city to city exploring all ends of the intricate and alluring place. Careem is making it an even more enjoyable experience with easy access all around Lebanon for both their customers, and their Captains. Captains will always be readily available in Jounieh, as well as in Beirut.

“We have always believed in Lebanon, and after the tremendous growth recently achieved in Beirut, we are eager to grow outside the capital,” said Nour El Assaad, Marketing Manager at Careem Lebanon. “Our launch in Jounieh will allow us to provide affordable, safe and reliable transportation to complement the city’s active and lively lifestyle, and will allow us to sponsor and partner up with more local initiatives, events and venues in Jounieh.” Careem’s new launch not only brings cities together, but also makes the famous Jounieh traffic a little less stressful.

In addition to increasing the accessibility of transportation in Lebanon this summer, Careem’s expansion will remain after the season is over, making the lives of university and school students much easier all year round.

Careem aims to create opportunities for current and future captains by providing them with more jobs. “We are excited about this launch because it will bring more business to our captains allowing them to serve more customers and be a safe travel partner for many,” said Jad Abi Nassif, Operations Manager at Careem Lebanon. “This launch also aims to solidify being a Careem captain in Lebanon as a safe and attractive means of earning for a part of the population who may not have considered it before.”
