Central Trade and Auto sponsors Red Bull’s BC One Competition

Central Trade and Auto, the exclusive Toyota dealer in the Kingdom, recently sponsored the local proceedings of the Red Bull BC One break dancing competition, which recently took place at the Kempinski Hotel in Amman. The proceedings brought break dancing enthusiasts together to compete for first place on a local scale, the winners of which will qualify for the regional and later global finals.
CTA's sponsorship came as part of an agreement it had recently signed with Red Bull to sponsor the brand's various activities. It also falls in line with CTA's continued efforts to support initiatives geared toward promoting unconventional arts and sports and spurring their growth in the Kingdom, which will also contribute to the transformation of Jordan into a regional cultural and touristic hub.
The BC One competition had enjoyed the participation of 16 contestants who demonstrated their talents at break dancing — one of the key elements of hip-hop culture whose practitioners are colloquially referred to as "b-boys". The proceedings were overseen by a committee that evaluated performances based on technique, creativity and homogeneity.
The BC One competition is one of the most celebrated b-boying events in the world, the first of which was hosted in Switzerland in 2004. Since then, the competition has grown rapidly, serving as a vehicle for young stardom to many performers around the globe and transforming b-boying into a professional performance art in many locations, including the Arab World.
It is worth noting that this sponsorship by CTA is part of a series of support initiatives made by the company since its inception 1999, targeting various sectors of the local community.
