Emirates airline would like to inform its passengers of important changes to check-in procedures for a number of flights departing Terminal 3 between Saturday 12th November and Thursday 17th November.

During the Dubai Air Show, there will be some rescheduling of departure times for flights from Dubai to allow for daily air displays.

All Emirates flights departing between 13:00hrs and 17:00hrs daily will be subject to a mandatory early check-in. Passengers, in all classes, are required to check-in no later than 90 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Check-in counters will not accept passengers after this time.

In addition, boarding gates will close 50 minutes prior to the revised scheduled time of departure to ensure flights leave on time. Latecomers to the boarding gate will be denied boarding.

Mohammed Mattar, Emirates’ Divisional Senior Vice President Airport Services said: “To ensure on-time departures during the Dubai Airshow, Emirates is implementing a strict check-in and boarding policy. We are committed to delivering our passengers to their destinations on time and have put into action a detailed plan to ensure our flights depart within their allocated slots.

“Emirates is updating all affected bookings with the changes to check-in times and these details will also be reflected in our reservations systems. In addition, Emirates has advised all travel agents, handling individual passenger bookings, of the changes for onward communication to their clients. Customers will also be able to check affected flights through our dedicated Emirates website.”

The Emirates First Class and Business Class chauffeur drive service will also reflect these changes to ensure passengers reach the airport within the specified timeframe.

Emirates recommends all passengers travelling on these dates allocate additional travel time to the airport, due to expected heavy traffic in and around the terminals for the Dubai Airshow.
