Dubai-based Coffee Planet, the Middle East's leading coffee company, has appointed Ancis Romanovskis to drive its international sales revenue and tap into the huge market potential for Coffee Planet to export its range of high-quality Arabica coffee and specialty blends.

In his new role as International Sales Manager, Romanovskis will be tasked with seeking new markets for Coffee Planet, finding potential new partners and creating greater awareness of Coffee Planet regionally and globally as the firm rolls-out its expansion strategy.

"Apart from consolidating our strategy in the gulf region, India, South East Asia and South Korea, Ancis will be responsible for driving Coffee Planet's sales into Eastern Europe and Russia, where his in-depth market knowledge and experience will be invaluable," said Richard Jones, Managing Director, Coffee Planet.

"Moreover, the fact that such a passionate coffee guru like Ancis has decided to join Coffee Planet is a clear vote of confidence in our product and our marketing strategy," added Jones.

Coffee Planet currently exports to four countries including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Malaysia and is aiming to extend this to ten countries by the end of the year. As the leading home-grown coffee company, Coffee Planet has been working with the Dubai Exports government department to promote Dubai brands and products abroad.

Exported coffee will be shipped directly from Coffee Planet's HACCP certified, state-of-the-art Roastery in Dubai. Coffee Planet directly sources its high grade green beans from farms around the world, before hand-blending and roasting them to ensure the highest quality and freshest coffee lands in the cup.

Prior to joining Coffee Planet, Romanovskis worked at King Coffee Service in Latvia as Sales Director, where he helped set up the company in 2007 and developed it to become one of the leading coffee companies in the Baltic States in just four years.

"This is an exciting time to be joining Coffee Planet and will be an excellent opportunity, not just to find new potential partners, but also ensure that we are partnering with companies that share our passion for great tasting coffee," said Romanovskis.
