Millennium Hotel Doha this week held a competition day for all its colleagues working on the food and beverage teams. The aim was to provide continued training, motivation and improve team working skills, with all employees participating in both individual and group challenges.

The  event also gave senior management an opportunity to recognize and show appreciation for the teams’ great efforts over the past year and their invaluable contribution to the overall success of the hotel.

The ‘Service Tray Run’ kicked off the team challenges. Each team had to run around a set circuit carrying water-filled glasses on a tray without spilling a drop, bringing out the competitive spirit in all teams. Other challenges included live cooking, the ‘Best Plated Menu’, ‘Best Table’, and ‘Best Buffet’ – and each had to be completed in 45 minutes. Light entertainment was provided by a round of balloon bursting fun. The day concluded with the announcement of the F&B Employee of the Month, and a prize ceremony for the winners of the day’s challenges, where winners took away more than QR 1,000 in total.

Giorgio Lanfranchi, General Manger of Millennium Hotel Doha said: “The Food and Beverage teams are integral to the success of the whole hotel. I am very grateful to our teams for their continued dedication and commitment to excellence in everything they do.”

Millennium Hotel Doha is part of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, one of the world’s largest hotel companies with more than 120 owned and managed hotels across 20 countries.
