Damas marks participation at Arab Luxury World 2014

Damas, the Middle East's leading jewellery and watch retailer, marked an emphatic participation at the two day Arab Luxury World 2014 that concluded this week in Dubai at the Westin Mina Seyahi.
Michel El Hachem, General Manager of International Brands at Damas, headlined two panel discussions. The first focused on the jewellery sector and examined Dubai’s status as a gold trading hub. The segment saw El Hachem sharing perspectives on the key role that tourism plays in jewellery sales. At the second panel discussion titled ‘Adapting to Arab Tastes’, El Hachem tracked the growth trajectory of international high-end brands in the context of the Middle East and Arab market.
El Hachem also highlighted the international brands that Damas houses, such as Graff and Theo Fennel. He additionally reiterated Damas’s commitment to endorsing best-in-class practices that have repositioned the Dubai-based home grown brand into a famous international jewellery concept that enjoys global credibility.

The event sought to explore the challenges and opportunities for premium and ultra-premium products in the regional market.
Pegged as a ‘conference on the business of luxury in the Middle East’, Arab Luxury World covers various sectors in the luxury market including marketing, retail and distribution, digital and brand building.
