Dar Al Dawa Organizes Awareness Lecture on Breast Cancer Early Detection in Collaboration With King Hussein Cancer Center

As part of the “Think Pink” initiative and in collaboration with King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), Dar Al Dawa Development & Investment Co. organized a breast cancer early detection campaign, marking the breast cancer awareness Month, through conducting a two-day lecture on October 11-12 at Dar Al Dawa premises in Na’our. The prevention awareness lecture aimed at encouraging women employees at the company overcome their fears and undergo the screening.
Dr. Yassar Qutiba, Head of Early Detection Unit at KHCC emphasized the importance of breast cancer early detection, which contributes in improving the results of cancer treatment when discovered at early stages. Dr. Yassar also explained how to perform the breast self-examination at home and treatment options, highlighting the role of regular self-examination in cancer early detection and treatment. At the end of the lecture awareness brochures were disseminated among attendees that included guidelines on self-examination.

We believe that by spreading awareness on early detection we can contribute in saving women’s lives.” Said Mr. Khaled Al-Kurdi, Dar Al Dawa Managing Director.
Dar Al Dawa also hosted women who survived from breast cancer and decided to opt for a fighter’s spirit instead of a defeated one. Those women were a big motivation and inspiration to all Dar Al Dawa community through sharing their journey with breast cancer and their survival stories.
