Press release

The jury enjoyed exploring 45 diverse projects representing different genres, trends and generations active mainly in the Jordanian film industry.
Daughters of Adbulrahman by actress and producer Saba Mubarak and director Zaid Abu Hamdan has won a grant that is offered by the Jordan Film Fund (JFF) for 13 cinematic projects in four categories: production of short and animation films; development of feature-length narratives and documentaries; production and development of feature-length narratives and documentaries and post-production of feature-length documentaries.
Commenting on the announcement, the jury stated, "The jury enjoyed exploring 45 diverse projects representing different genres, trends and generations active mainly in the Jordanian film industry. Despite the difficulty of the selection, as most submitted works are highly artistic, the committee adopted its decisions unanimously and leaned towards supporting new voices and promising Jordanian talents, in the hope that it will help the execution of these projects and create more partnerships and co-production opportunities."
Daughters of Adbulrahman is a dark comedy that tells the story of four estranged and offbeat sisters who are forced to come together to find their suddenly-missing father, years after escaping their oppressive past.
The film stars Saba Mubarak, Mohamed Bakri, and Dana Dajani. It is produced by Saba Mubarak's Pan East Media, and the marketing and distribution of the film in the Arab world is handled by MAD Solutions.
