Al Tayer receives President of Alstom Grid Company
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) today received a delegation from French company, Alstom Grid. The delegation included Grégoire Poux-Guillaume, President, Michel Augonnet, SVP of Commercial Solutions, Stephane Cai, Regional VP, NME, Mazen Hamadallah, Regional Commercial VP of NME, and Aqil Hussain, Area Sales Manager. Hussain Essa Lootah, EVP of Power Transmission at DEWA, also attended the meeting.
Al Tayer welcomed the delegation and stressed the importance of cooperating with Alstom Grid, which is an international leading company for Networks Management, Automation, and Technological Control Rooms. Al Tayer emphasised DEWA’s commitment to implement cutting-edge technologies that optimize operations and efficiency.
The delegation briefed Al Tayer on Alstom Grid’s services, which strengthen power efficiency, network stability and reliability, and the ability to merge renewable energy in electricity networks.
Alstom Grid is a business division of Alstom Company, and provides services and products and integrated solutions in the energy field that generate, transmit and distribute power.
The delegation thanked Al Tayer for providing a comprehensive overview of the various facets of DEWA’s operations and projects.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) was formed on 1 January, 1992, by a decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum to take over and merge the Dubai Electric Company and the Dubai Water Department that had been operating independently for several years until then.
