DEWA organises daily Iftar for employees during Ramadan
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is organising Iftars for employees from all nationalities every day, during the Holy Month of Ramadan as part of its social responsibility and commitment to promoting social relations among all employees. As usual, a special Ramadan tent has been set up at DEWA’s head office in Zabeel.
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA extended his sincerest greetings to HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, their Highnesses, the Members of the Supreme Council, and Rulers of the Emirates, as well as the people and residents of the UAE, on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
“DEWA is keen to promote the spirit of the Holy Month amongst all of its employees through a series of community and cultural events that reinforce social values among employees, which reflects positively on strengthening job satisfaction and enables employees to perform their duties efficiently, improve social cohesion and improve employee satisfaction,” said Al Tayer.
DEWA is distributing over 2,000 meals a day in its tent at the main office or at Jebel Ali Power Station, Warsan and other different customer service centres and customer care centres. DEWA has emergency teams on standby for electricity and water issues during the Holy Month.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) was formed on 1 January, 1992, by a decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum to take over and merge the Dubai Electric Company and the Dubai Water Department that had been operating independently for several years until then.
