Diyar Al Muharraq Supports IRONMAN Participants & Kicks Off Diyar’s Sports Season

Diyar Al Muharraq, the largest real estate development company in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has partnered with Loop Café, the first sports café of its kind in the Kingdom, to support athletes participating in the IRONMAN 70.3 Middle East Championship, which is set to take place in Bahrain on December 9, 2022. For an 8-week period during weekends, participants will have the opportunity to train and prepare for the long-distance running and cycling segments of the event at Hadiqat Al Diyar and across key areas of Diyar Al Muharraq’s Masterplan. 

The partnership comes in parallel with the launch of a brand-new concept at Diyar Al Muharraq, Diyar’s Sports Season. The health-focused activation will host monthly races starting from October 2022 to March 2023 at Hadiqat Al Diyar and across various spaces in the Masterplan, including: cycling, walkathons, kids’ races, and many other specialized and family sports activities.

The signing ceremony was held on Thursday, 13th October 2022 at Diyar Al Muharraq’s headquarters in the presence of Eng. Ahmed Ali AlAmmadi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Diyar Al Muharraq and Mr. Abdulrahman Al Kooheji, Owner of Loop Café.

Commenting on the occasion, Eng. Ahmed Ali AlAmmadi, CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq, said, “Through this agreement with Loop Café, Diyar Al Muharraq aims to provide ideal training for this year’s IRONMAN participants in line with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, to support the development of talented athletes and contribute to the advancement of the youth and sports movement in the Kingdom. Our collaboration will also serve to strengthen our ongoing efforts to encourage Diyar Al Muharraq’s residents and visitors to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle, reinforced by our recently inaugurated sports season.”

On his end, Mr. Abdulrahman Al Kooheji, Owner of Loop Café, said, “We are pleased to be collaborating with Diyar Al Muharraq to support this December’s IRONMAN athletes and Diyar’s sports season, by providing them with a safe and inspirational environment in addition to a healthy food and beverage selection to help them achieve their goals.”
