DPG opens new 102,675 sq. ft. park in Business Bay

Dubai Properties Group, master developer of world class destinations in Dubai including Business Bay, DUBAILAND, JBR and Culture Village, has announced the opening of a new 102,675 sq. ft. park located in Bay Avenue, its flagship retail destination in the heart of Business Bay. The developer has confirmed that the park will be launched through a series of fun and entertaining activities for all the family, taking place from February 28 to March 1, 2014.

The Bay Avenue Park is one of the first parks in the area and will cater to Business Bay residents as well as neighbouring communities. The park will include two children’s playgrounds, a jogging track and two outdoor gym areas. Other attractions include a skate park, an in-ground trampoline and an interactive water fountain. Two retail kiosks, a mosque and ample visitor parking are also located near the park. This attraction complements the Bay Avenue Mall offering with its promenade and a variety of alfresco dining options in the heart of the city with stunning views of some of Dubai’s key attractions.

Speaking about the Bay Avenue Park opening, Sahar Al Ansari, Executive Director of Real Estate Management at DPG, said: “We are committed to enhancing our destinations and districts for the benefit of residents and visitors, through providing additional services and leisure facilities. Bay Avenue mall was opened two years ago to service the needs of over 50,000 people in Business Bay. Now, with the opening of this park we hope to turn this into a truly unique destination where visitors can relax and enjoy the outdoor space. The park’s opening event will offer park-goers a range of activities from 7.30 am until 9.30pm. Visitors will be able to take part in stimulating activities such as Sunrise Yoga, Zumba, Circuit and Box-Fit, while others can sit back and relax watching a movie under the stars. Parents can also get involved with their children by taking them to get their face painted, watch a puppet show or enroll in a class of Mum & Baby Fitness. In addition, stilt walkers, caricaturists and buskers will all also be entertaining audiences during the afternoons.

Bay Avenue Park will further complete the already thriving Business Bay district in addition to Bay Avenue which is currently home to 65 retailers, food & beverage outlets and community services such as Cafe Rumi, Spinneys, Champion Cleaners Center and Kcal.
