du demonstrated its strong dedication to the UAE’s community by organising its Drop of Life blood donation campaign, held recently at Dubai International Academic City in conjunction with the Dubai Blood Donation Centre.

Open to the public, over 100 volunteers attended the donation drive at DIAC, making good on du’s brand mission ‘add life to life’ as 80 of them offered life-saving blood to the Dubai Blood Donation Centre.

“Our commitment to the community of the UAE goes beyond our commercial offerings, as our Drop of Life campaign demonstrates,” commented Hala Badri, Executive Vice President, Brand and Communications, du. “We would like to thank everyone for taking the time to volunteer and donate blood; through such a simple offering, they have offered the gift of life to those who desperately need it.”

Drop of Life is an ongoing campaign that is part of du’s Corporate Social Responsibility, organised to assist the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) by providing blood to match the emirate’s increasing daily demands. This is the 5th time that du has initiated the internal campaign and the second campaign this year, with over 348 du employees having donated during the first campaign which was conducted last April across all du offices.
