Corporate Social Responsibility is a vital pillar of our company and we are proud to lend our support to community causes, activities and initiatives, in sync with our objectives to work for the benefit of the UAE, in everything that we do. Our goal is for our neighbours and nearby communities to be healthy and prosperous, and we are proud that we are able to lend our support, to Dubai Autism Centre and other such worthwhile causes, in such meaningful ways.”

“du’s continued support of Dubai Autism Centre has brought a smile to many faces, most especially those who benefit from the facilities that we are able to offer them,” said Mohammed Al Emadi. “We have a humanitarian mission and are helping a special segment of society, by developing and enhancing the skills of autistic children. This allows them to integrate into the mainstream as productive members, and du, by supporting us, is enabling the successful future of the children we help. We are proud to recognise du’s CSR efforts here today, and would like to offer thanks for the support we have received.”

Through its CSR initiatives, du extends beyond simply helping its customers to stay connected; it gives back to the community through initiatives that help the country’s people and environment. du has supported Dubai Autism Centre by its philanthropic efforts and supporting various campaigns and initiatives. For example, as part of Dubai Twestival du created a special online media campaign to support DAC, including a free awareness SMS sent to all customers. du is working on providing free of charge SMS short codes to Dubai Autism Centre, through which customers can donate quickly and conveniently.

As part of its CSR activities, du supports varied segments of the UAE’s community, including social activities, education, entrepreneurs, Emirati talents, local heritage and culture. du was the first telecommunications company in the region to launch a Sustainable Development report, released in October 2011, in which the full extent of its CSR activities are mapped.
