Dubai Chamber calls upon staff members to actively participate in the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis

H.E. Hamad Buamim, President and CEO, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, called upon the Chamber staff to participate in the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis (Council) launched this week by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to provide everyone in the emirate and the world over to come up with innovative ideas and comments in improving the quality of life and making Dubai the smartest city in the world.

In his welcome address during the monthly staff gathering held at the Chamber head office today (Thursday), H.E. Buamim encouraged the Chamber employees to come up with innovative ideas and to submit them on the integrated platform of the Smart Majlis in order to encourage all stakeholders to provide constructive feedback to work towards the promotion and development of the business environment of Dubai.

“I invite you to be part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis by submitting your creative ideas and comments online. Who knows the next great idea might be yours,” said H.E. Buamim adding, “You are at the forefront of Dubai Chamber’s strategy of serving the multicultural business community the smart way and it is your responsibility to help make the private sector the best in the world.”

The President and CEO of Dubai Chamber pointed out that this Smart Majlis which is integrated with advanced technology aims to enhance innovative communication between H.H. Sheikh Mohammed and all segments of the society and opens the doors for collective participation by providing creative ideas and comments in various developmental fields as well as their follow up to gauge the impact of the ideas.

He added that it is the responsibility of all Dubai residents to actively participate in finding innovative ideas and solutions for Dubai to excel other cities globally and to enhance the emirate’s competitiveness as the world’s best liveable and investment destination.

The meeting included an introductory presentation on how to participate in the Smart Majlis while shedding light on the important steps leading to innovative ideas, as well as the procedure of participation raised during the question and answer session by the enthusiastic staff.

In conclusion, employees who have come up with creative suggestions in the past were honoured for their efforts while the Chamber also honoured staff for completing their UAE national service recently.

The Mohammad bin Rashid Smart Majlis (Council) is the largest integrated intelligent platform in Dubai, which aims at receiving suggestions, observations, round-the-clock ideas from the public, and conduct smart brainstorming sessions with direct follow-up by H.H. Sheikh Mohammad.

It is also aimed at making Dubai, the world’s smartest and fastest developed city, with the help of residents, nationals, visitors and Dubai fans. The main aim is to offer an opportunity for every member of the community to provide ideas, attend council, debate and work hand-in-hand in the process of development.
