Dubai Chamber to host 2nd Middle East e-Commerce Conference 2014
In order to raise awareness of e-commerce in the emirate, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organise its 2nd e-commerce conference under its strategic MENA partnership with Alibaba Group on November 26 at the Raffles hotel.
Held under the title, "Unleashing New Business Opportunities Globally” the conference will deal with a wide variety of topics on e-commerce, the benefits of doing business on the online platform Alibaba, including important information about dealing with Chinese traders.
The Conference will have a welcome speech by H.E. Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair Chairman, Dubai Chamber, while Dr. Belaid Rettab, Senior Director, Economic Research and Sustainable Business Development Sector, will be part of a panel discussion. Sophie Wu, Senior Vice President Alibaba Group, Board Member and President of Alibaba.com and 1688.com will give the presentations.
The Conference will also see the launch of an official online procurement platform offered jointly by Dubai Chamber and the Alibaba Group, which will provide multiple advantages, in line with the requirements with the needs of organising Dubai Expo 2020, and the Qatar World Cup 2022.
