Ministry of Foreign Affairs opens a representative office in Dubai Chamber Headquarter

H.E. Ambassador Abdul Rahman Al Shamlan, Director General of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dubai, and H.E. Hamad Buamim, Director General, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, inaugurated a Ministry of Foreign Affairs representative office at the Membership and Documentation Services Department on the ground floor of the Chamber head office on Wednesday.

The inauguration came as part of a joint effort between Dubai Chamber and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate the provision of all relevant services to the business community under one roof. The new facility will offer its services to customers from Sunday to Thursday from 8 am to 1pm.

The services offered include attestation of educational certificates, marriage contracts, birth certificates, commercial and non-commercial licences, certificates of membership, issuing of minutes of meetings of boards of directors, official statements, as well as authentication of certificates from outside the country.

H.E. Ambassador Abdul Rahman Al Shamlan said that the opening of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office at Dubai Chamber is the first in a series of offices that the Ministry is planning to open soon. It comes as part of a policy to reach out to the customers and provide the best services.

He lauded the unlimited support of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, and H.E Dr. Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, which he said contributed to the development and promotion of services offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, pointing out that  during the last three years, The Ministry had gone a long way in providing its services under the slogan, ‘Go to the customer and don’t wait for him to come to you’.

Now, the opening of this office at Dubai Chamber is proof of our successful strategy which is aimed at customer satisfaction and providing of services of the highest order, he added.

H.E. Buamim stated that the opening of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a constructive step towards providing value-added services for our stakeholders under one roof. We already have Dubai Municipality office and this new addition will help our members get their business documents cleared fast, he said.

The Director General of Dubai Chamber said, "This move will help us in promoting public and private sector partnership as well as our strategic objectives of supporting the development of business in Dubai.”

H.E. Buamim added that the Dubai Chamber members who number over 130,000 are provided a wide range of services including the issuance of certificates of origin, business researches and advocacy, mediation and arbitration, and now.

this additional service through the representative offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which will help them carry out their transactions in one location.

During his tour of Dubai Chamber green building, the Director General of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, lauded the efforts of Dubai Chamber in providing a sustainable and eco-friendly work environment, citing its experience in green buildings as a role model for others to follow.
