Dubai Chamber trade delegation departs for Ghana

A Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry trade delegation, led by its President and CEO, H.E. Hamad Buamim, left this morning (Tuesday) for a three-day visit from January 20 to 22 to the Ghanaian capital Accra.

This first trade mission of the year is in line with Dubai Chamber’s Dubai: Gateway to Africa strategy. The objective of the trade mission is to explore promising markets for the Chamber’s members, especially those in the West African region as well as to enhance bilateral trade relations between the UAE and Ghana while raising the competitiveness of Dubai businesses in the overseas business arenas.

The delegates participating in the trade mission are Saeed Abdullah Khoory, CEO, Hesham Ali Mustafa, Senior Director, and Yusr Sultan, Managing Director, Terminals, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), Eissa Bin Nasser Al Serkal, Chairman, Nasser Bin Abdullatif Al Serkal Est., Ali Rashid Humaid  Al Mazroei, Group, CFO, Bahri & Mazroei Trading Co. LLC, Abdullah Sharafi, President, Gerab National Enterprises LLC, Dr. Igor Egorov, President, Russian Business Council, Paras Shahdadpuri, Chairman, Indian Business & Professional Council, and Laurent Chaudet, President, French Business Council. 

During their visit, the delegates will attend a Strategy Conference with panel discussions, a Roundtable Discussion and a Business Forum and bilateral meetings while exploring opportunities for joint cooperation in the areas of trade, tourism, agriculture, retail, telecommunications and construction. 

Ghana provides a safe investment haven for Dubai companies as the country stands amongst the top five destinations for doing business in Sub-Saharan Africa and Dubai businesses can use Ghana as a base for expanding their trading activities in the lucrative investment areas of southern and western Africa.
