Dubai Culture Hosts Networking Session for the First Islamic Lifestyle Mini Bootcamp

Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated entity for culture, arts and heritage, has partnered with the Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC) and Dubai Silicon Oasis to host a networking session as part of the first Islamic Lifestyle Mini Bootcamp, which was designed for ambitious early-stage entrepreneurs.
The networking session saw 10 start-ups gathering to exchange views and learn from some of the region’s leading Islamic lifestyle experts. The session included a talk about the government’s vision for the Islamic economy and also explored Dubai Culture's efforts to strengthen the Islamic lifestyle sector, with a brief on the Authority’s latest book – ‘Global Perspectives on the Islamic Creative Economy’.
The Islamic Lifestyle Mini Bootcamp was launched by DIEDC in collaboration with Dubai Culture, Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority and Rainmaking Innovation, to support the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to establish Dubai as the world capital of the Islamic economy. During the bootcamp, budding start-ups were coached by international trainers and serial entrepreneurs in the main pillars of boosting a business.
Dubai Culture’s support of the Islamic Lifestyle Mini Bootcamp demonstrates its commitment to establishing Dubai as a global hub for the Islamic economy, in which Islamic lifestyle – which encompasses everything from culture and arts to modest fashion design and family-friendly tourism – plays a fundamental role. The initiative also fulfilled the Authority’s mandate to drive the creative economy and strengthen the Islamic lifestyle sector by attracting and nurturing talents.
Dubai Culture aims to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the Emirate’s rich heritage with a variety of initiatives that take place throughout the year. The Authority’s mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures through enriching initiatives that benefit the Emirate’s citizens, residents and visitors.
