Dubai Customs Celebrates World Quality Day
The Strategy and Corporate Excellence Department at Dubai Customs celebrated on Tuesday 9th November 2017 World Quality Day under the theme “Celebrating Leadership Everyday” at Dubai Customs headquarters in the presence of Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, executive directors, heads of departments and employees, plus representatives from TUV Intercert, the international certification office.
Commenting on the day, Musabih said:” Since the launch of the first excellence program in the world by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai we have raised the bar and decided to turn all challenges into opportunities in fulfilment of our vision and national strategies whilst adopting quality in every work we do”.
Musabih pointed out that the department has earned 15 quality certifications since 2002 including the International Standard for Service Excellence (TISSE) 2012 certification, Innovation Management Standard (TS 16555) in 2016, which was a first for a customs department worldwide.
At the end of the event, Musabih rewarded the speakers and the departments that played a noticeable part of Dubai Customs success in this field.
