Dubai Customs sponsors “My Heritage...The Secret of My Genuineness” project in Hatta

Dubai Customs is sponsoring the third edition of the project “My Heritage...The Secret of My Genuineness”, organised by Khadeejah Bentu Khowailed Primary School in Hatta. The third edition of the project is being organised under the theme “Our Heritage Brings Us Closer” and will run for five days, starting today Sunday March 1^st, 2015.

Dubai Customs’ sponsorship of the project comes in line with the initiative “My Nation.. My Identity” launched by Dubai Customs early 2015, which includes many events that uphold the concept of national identity.  

 The project “My Heritage...The Secret of My Genuineness” is aimed at boosting national identity in students, focusing on Islam and the Arabic language as main pillars of national identity, and emphasising the important role assumed by schools in shaping the national identity.

Khalil Saqer bin Gharib, Dubai Customs’ Director of Corporate Communication and Head of National Identity, said: “Dubai Customs pays utmost attention to linking national identity to its line of work. In 2015, we launched the initiative ‘My Nation.. My Identity’ to host events that support and nurture national identity.”

The Principal of Khadeejah Bentu Khowailed Primary School in Hatta, Sandia Khalfan Al Badwawi thanked Dubai Customs for their sponsorship of the project.
