Dubai Customs Launches Zayed Centennial Walkathon at Al Khawaneej Walking Track
Dubai Customs is all set up to kick off the events of Zayed Centennial Walkathon today Sunday 21st January 2018 as part of the UAE 1st Customs Week 2018 at Al Khawaneej 3-km walking track. A total of 1,000 Dubai Government employees, clients and partners will take part in the event as part of the Year of Zayed activities that Dubai Customs intends to perform throughout the year.
Today also a historical document and picture exhibition will be opened. It documents the period and role of Sheikh Zayed in founding the union. The exhibition will remain open throughout the Year of Zayed.
Organizing Zayed Centennial Walkathon in cooperation with Dubai Municipality will encourage everyone to make walking a daily practice inspired by the teachings and support that the Late Sheikh Zayed gave to sports.
The walkathon starts at 4pm at Al Khawaneej walking track accompanied by Dubai Police musical band and students from Dubai Scout Mission.
The walkathon will be headed by Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs with the participation of senior executives, managers and employees. Free medical checkups including blood sugar, blood pressure, arthritis, and osteoporosis, plus a number of entertaining activities for kids including face painting and free drawing corner will be available for participants and their families.
At the end of the event, participants will be awarded.
