Dubai Customs Organizes Service Innovation Workshop

Business Innovation Department at Dubai Customs organized a workshop titled “Service Innovation at Dubai Customs” which was attended by a number of male and female employees from different departments. This workshop comes in response to the directives of Director of Dubai Customs Ahmed Mahboob Musabih who invited departments to dedicate 10 hours a month to brainstorming to come up with new ideas.
The workshop introduced the service innovation concept and its main objectives and results. It also covered different types of innovation and their reflections.
The workshop saw positive participation from the attendants who were introduced to the new system “The Innovator” which helps Dubai Customs’ employees to add their innovative ideas.
This workshop is one of many other workshops that Business Innovation Department intends to organize in order to instil the culture of innovation within DC teams.
Hussam Juma, Director, Business Innovation Department pointed out the department has developed its experience in service innovation based on the national innovation plan.
“Dedicating 10 hours a month for innovation will help enhance innovation and increase the number of new ideas in accordance with 10X initiative. Dubai Customs’ innovative approach have helped raise its profile worldwide and gain renowned international accolades and good reputation” he said.
