Dubai Customs winner of Best Invention Award at the Ideas Arabia Conference 2016

Dubai Customs was announced the winner of ‘Best Invention (Public/Organizations)’ Award at the Ideas Arabia 11th International Conference 2016. The Award was granted to Dubai Customs in recognition of its Smart Enterprise Capability, an in-house project aimed at enhancing the competitive edge of Dubai Customs at the global level by building its capacities and exploring future trends, as well as directing investments and spending on developments.

The award was received by Hussam Juma Mohammed, Business Process Director at Dubai Customs, and the project team in the presence of Ahmed Abdul Salam Kazim, Strategy and Corporate Excellence Director, at the awarding ceremony in Dubai.

Smart Enterprise Capability is what the organization needs to perform its functions and achieve its objectives, using people, process, technology & information as main components.

Being globally acclaimed, the Smart Enterprise Capability received six international awards, the latest was at the 13th Annual Enterprise Architecture Awards in 2015, held in Washington DC, USA, under the patronage of John Zachman; the father of modern enterprise architecture. By winning this award, Dubai Customs surpassed rivalling organizations in much more advanced countries, including USA, UK, Romania, India and many others.

Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, welcomed the Award’s working team in his office and expressed his contentment with the new addition to Dubai Customs’ extensive catalogue of decorations.

In line with the UAE government’s vision to be one of the most innovative and happiest places to work and live in, Dubai Quality Group (DQG), under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, hosted the Ideas Arabia 11th International Conference 2016 on 25th and 26th of April 2016. This year’s conference, themed “Aspiring for Innovation and Happiness”, featured international and local experts in the field of Suggestions & Rewarding Scheme, Innovation, Creativity and Workplace Happiness.
