Dubai Design District to Launch Inaugural d3 Art Market

Dubai Design District (d3) has launched the first d3 Art Market as part of its continuing efforts to provide a significant platform to UAE’s growing creative community.

Taking place from December 21 to 23 in d3, the inaugural event’s line-up features 30 stalls by artists from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Jordan, among others. Showing a diverse range of creative flair, the curated selection includes paintings, 3D-printed objects, art prints, vintage posters, handcrafted stationery, photography prints, design objects, as well as customised art pieces.

To make it more accessible to art lovers and members of the general public, the works on display are affordably priced – within Dh1,500 ($408.3) – and give visitors the chance to support local artists by buying their works.

Other activities taking place during d3 Art Market further enhance the prevalent festive mood that envelopes the city during this time of year. In addition to creative workshops for both children and adults, noteworthy highlights of the three-day event include free holiday movie screenings by Cinema Akil and live music performances by local, independent music collectives, Freshly Ground Sounds and The Sound Gaarden.
