Dubai Festival City Mall to launch healthy lifestyle awareness campaign on Thursday

As part of its effort towards promoting dynamic lifestyles for Dubai residents, Dubai Festival City Mall has announced a Healthy Lifestyle Awareness Campaign, to be held under the auspices of the UAE Ministry of Health from March 14-16, 2013.
During the campaign which kicks off on Thursday 14 March, health experts will offer Mall visitors complimentary medical assessments, including glucose tests, blood pressure measurement, and Body Mass Index calculations. Specialised nurses and health educators from the Ministry of Health will also offer complimentary health and nutrition consultations at the mall.
“The Ministry of Health strives towards encouraging and supporting all efforts to raise awareness on the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle through working with many social groups throughout the country,” said Dr. Mahmoud Fikri, Assistance Undersecretary for health policies affairs.
He reiterated: “Our Healthy Lifestyle Awareness Campaign aims to empower citizens with knowledge and knowhow that is conducive towards leading a healthy way of life.”
He further added: “This is one of many health-related campaigns that reflect the Ministry of Health’s strategy of forging partnerships with a plethora of social and business groups in the UAE. We look forward to kicking off our campaign in partnership with Dubai Festival City Mall and plan to organise similar endeavors with leading shopping malls throughout the country.”
