Dubai International Academic City hosts 40th National Day Celebrations
Students and academics at Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), a member of TECOM Investments’ Education Cluster, celebrated the 40th UAE National Day with fun-filled cultural activities.
Students hosted stage shows, poetry nights, traditional games and dances at cultural tents set up at DIAC from 29-30 November. A heritage car display was among the highlights of the festivities. Traditional Emirati cuisine was prepared live for the benefit of visitors, while Arabic snacks including tea/coffee and sweets were also served.
Dr. Ayoub Kazim, Managing Director of TECOM Investments’ Education Cluster, said: “We congratulate the leadership of the UAE and Dubai as we join the National Day celebrations. We invite our student community and the youth from the wider Arab world to draw inspiration from our leaders who are outstanding role models. We call upon the youth to sincerely contribute to realizing our leaders’ vision to transform the UAE into a knowledge-based economy.”
Currently hosting 27 academic institutions from 11 countries, DIAC continues to propel the growth of the education sector. Approximately 20,000 students from over 100 nationalities are enrolled into the various programmes offered at the campuses within DIAC.
