Students aged 5 to 12 years from schools across the UAE can submit their paintings, drawings, or posters, in any medium including watercolours, acrylic and oil paints, and crayons, under the theme ‘What’s your favourite movie and what did you learn from it?’

Twenty-four selected winners will receive family invitations for four members each to DIFF’s ‘Cinema for Children’ red carpet gala, and their works will be displayed during the Festival. The winning works will also be featured, with credits, in DIFF’s 2012 annual tabletop calendar.

In addition, 75 students will be selected to receive tickets to attend screenings at DIFF, while the school with the maximum number of entries will receive a Certificate of Recognition.

Participating schools must certify that all works submitted are original and created without assistance. Entries must be submitted by November 1, 2011 to: DIFF Painting Competition, Dubai International Film Festival, Building No. 2, Dubai Media City, P. O. Box 502600, Dubai – UAE.
