Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) today announced the launch of the Arabic interface of its internet-based banking service, Al Islami Online Banking. DIB customers can now conduct over 70 banking transactions in both Arabic and English using this service.

In addition to a complete Arabic portal, Al Islami Online Banking now offers additional innovative features including opening of Investment Deposits in multiple currencies, instant salary in advance (Tayseer), automatic Salik recharge, and Cash on Cards.

“Distribution channels are a critical part of the growth strategy of the Consumer Bank,” said Dr. Adnan Chilwan, Deputy CEO - Chief of Consumer & Wholesale Banking, DIB. “Meeting and exceeding the expectations of our growing base of over 1.2 million customers, requires strategic investments, not only in our bricks and mortar but also in alternative channels. The enhancements in our Online Banking channel provide our customers with the freedom to conduct over 70 banking transactions at their convenience and in the language of their choice.”

“We have launched the Arabic interface for Al Islami Online Banking in response to growing demand from our customers,” said Musabbah Al Qaizi, Head of Electronic Banking Services, DIB. “While Arabic functionality is the most noticeable enhancement, a wide range of innovative features have also been added to the portal, meaning our customers can now conduct a huge range of transactions anywhere, anytime and in a secure environment.”
