Dubai Media City Launches ‘FIT DMC’ Sports Initiative

In line with the ‘30 minutes x 30 days’ Dubai Fitness Challenge called by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai and Dubai Sports Council, Dubai Media City, the region’s largest community dedicated to the media industry has rolled out a community-wide FIT DMC initiative.
Running from 17 October to 29 November, FIT DMC is open to people of all ages and fitness levels. The initiative offers a range of fun and challenging health and fitness activities in collaboration with TK MMA Gym.
Majed Al Suwaidi, Managing Director of Dubai Media City, said: “It is a known fact that an active individual is far more productive than his or her sedentary counterparts. Supporting His Highness Sheikh Hamdan’s fitness challenge, we have created an initiative that encourages our community members to take up fitness activities in an engaging and friendly environment.”
FIT DMC offers seven different sporting activities including yoga, Pilates, Zumba, running, boxing, boot camp and jiu jitsu for kids. Admission is on a first-come-first serve and participants can join any of the activities being conducted at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, Lake Gazebo, Lakeside and TK MMA Gym.
Participants are encouraged to post their health journey on Dubai Media City social media handles on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #FITDMC and interact with the Dubai Media City handles
