Dubai Properties signs strategic agreement with GEMS Education to open a new school in Mudon

Families at Mudon Community will soon be able to provide their children with high quality education options as Dubai Properties (DP), the development company of Dubai Properties Group (DPG) has today, finalised a strategic agreement with GEMS Education to open a new British curriculum school located within the community.

The GEMS school will cover the entire educational age range from KG through to Grade 12. Located inside DP’s gated Mudon Community, on a plot of around 419,000 sq. metres, the school will spread over three stories with an expected opening date of September 2016.

Mudon is one of Dubai’s most popular residential communities, owing to its great location, unique contemporary design and balanced lifestyle offering. Providing a range of educational options within a short distance of resident’s homes, the school will complement the wide range of community facilities Mudon has to offer including a 64,000 sq. ft. community centre in the pipeline.

Speaking about the announcement, Mohammed Al Habbai, Chief Officer for Urban Planning and Infrastructure at Dubai Properties Group, said: “DP signed this strategic agreement with GEMS Education in order to provide residents within the community with schooling options for their children. We will continue to invest in schools, medical services, and sports amenities along with other essential leisure and community facilities to enhance family life in Mudon.”

There is growing demand for high quality international education as more and more people choose the UAE as the destination to start a family and raise their children. We look forward to welcoming the first pupils to our new GEMS British Curriculum school in Mudon in September 2016.” 

The addition of the planned GEMS school will add further value to Mudon’s vibrant community lifestyle.  Mudon is located 15 minutes from the centre of Dubai and just over 10 minutes from Mall of the Emirates on the Umm Sequim Road.
