Dubai Women’s College becomes accredited Center for Cambridge international Diploma in IT skills

Dubai Women’s College (DWC), a Higher College of Technology flagship institution, announced today signing an agreement with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) to be one of the accredited centers for the Cambridge International Diploma in Information Technology Skills (CID – IT).

Under this agreement, the Talal Abu Ghazaleh Professional and E-Training – a member of TAG-Org – will certify the DWC IT trainers and prepare the Computer labs with the required software to obtain the Abu- Ghazaleh Cambridge International Diploma in IT Skills.  

The agreement was signed by Dr. Howard Reed, DWC Director and Mr. Ali Shalabi , Executive Director TAG-Org - Sharjah. The project will be implemented over a two academic years 2011 – 2013.

This Agreement aims at raising the level of the Staff of DWC and the interested students in terms of digital Technology, in addition to building the infrastructure of strong cooperation between the government academic bodies (DWC) and the private professional service providers (TAG-Org)

This agreement will also allow the necessary tools for all administrative, academics and students of DWC to apply for the Cambridge International Diploma in IT Skills. Where will be the computer labs of the college approved by the Cambridge International and there will be a permanent certify trainers from DWC provision of the service and assistance for those wishing to obtain the certificate, as will the staff of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Professional & E-Training are ready to provide aid and technical assistance in all the time to the success of this Convention.

The agreement said that TAG Org will provide the DWC with required programs for the management of exams' where all the exams automated and not subject to human intervention in terms of corrections or monitoring marks, and providing all the electronic curriculum and materials, and are also committed to provide ongoing inspection visits and when the demand for quality assurance and in order to avoid any of the future technical issues.

On the same note DWC would like to welcome external participant to sit for the Cambridge International Diploma in IT Skills.
