Dubai World Central (DWC), the region’s first aerotropolis, announced today that it has appointed Regus, the world’s largest provider of flexible workplaces, to manage an upcoming dedicated Business Centre located at DWC headquarters.

The Business Centre will be the perfect one-stop solution for companies seeking small-sized, serviced or short-term office space, meeting rooms and video communication facilities. The centre will be used by both local companies looking to work from the prestigious address and businesses looking to establish an initial presence in the region. Notably, any firm that signs a minimum one-year lease at the Business Centre will be entitled to apply for a trade licence.

A demonstration of DWC’s commitment to providing world-class, value-added services to investors and tenants, the Business Centre will provide a fully flexible way to work through the innovative Business Lounge allowing members to take advantage of secure Internet access, comfortable work space as well as all-day refreshments on a drop-in basis.

Rashed Buqara'a, Chief Operating Officer, Dubai Aviation City Corporation, said: “The upcoming opening of our Business Centre – managed by Regus, a leader in workplace solutions – underlines our focus on providing first-class facilities to companies that choose to locate at Dubai World Central, which already offers a host of strategic advantages.

“As Dubai World Central continues to expand its range of services, we expect to see even more companies see the appeal of operating from this fast-cycle logistics hub,” Buqara'a added. “The opening of the Business Centre, in particular, highlights our commitment to providing flexible solutions that meet the needs of any client – no matter how large or small.”

“We are very pleased to be working with Dubai World Central to operate and manage this important facility,” said Paulo Dias, CEO for EMEA at Regus. “As the operator of 1,200 business centres across 550 cities in 90 countries, we will put our international experience to work for Dubai World Central.

“It is vitally important for individuals to have a place to work and hold meetings in a professional environment, as well as having access to administrative and printing support, all within the heart of the region’s first aerotropolis.”

In its first phase, the Business Centre will occupy 5,200 square feet within Dubai World Central’s grade-A headquarters building, offering wide floor plans, raised floors, high-end finishes, and a large, light-filled atrium. Plans are already in place to expand the facility following the full implementation of the first stage.

The Business Centre will complement the existing strategic benefits enjoyed by companies operating at Dubai World Central, including world-class commercial office space; immediate access to Al Maktoum International Airport, which commenced operations in 2010; close proximity to Jebel Ali Sea Port, the sixth-largest container terminal in the world; and links to all the main motorways in the UAE.
