Emal celebrates elite employees at second annual awards

Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) held its ‘2^nd Falah Annual Corporate Awards’ ceremony, at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi, to officially celebrate the exceptional achievements made by the top performing staff in 2012. A total of five winners were announced Falah Platinum, Gold and Silver, Emirati and leader of the year. 

The landmark industrial diversification project’s ‘Falah Campaign’ was created in 2011 to recognise EMAL employees that have gone above and beyond the call of duty in the pursuit of excellence, with last year’s winners established as shining examples to inspire colleagues. This year’s ceremony was addressed by inspirational Emirati speaker Salem Al Mazrouei, who delivered a speech in UAE sign language detailing the challenges he has overcome to achieve success in his life and career. 

Saeed Fadhel Al Mazrooei, EMAL’s President and CEO, said: “Such recognitions help to create a collaborative and inclusive workforce, where employees are encouraged to contribute and suggest ideas, promote a safe working environment and work in line with EMAL’s core values. I personally congratulate the winners for their outstanding performances. Through leading by example, our best and brightest employees are an inspiration to us all.”

Chairman of EMAL, H.E. Khaldoun Al Mubarak, EMAL Vice Chairman, Abdulla Kalban and Vice President Projects, Yousuf Bastaki, and Vice President Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness, Abdelhakeem Almushtaghil, presented Falah Silver, Falah Gold, Falah Platinum, Falah Emirati and Leader of the year awards to Abdul Nazir Farook, Sanjib Chandra Sarkar, Shafique Muhammad, Ahmed Al Marzouqi, and Antony Thyparampil respectively, at the event attended by EMAL top EMAL management and employees.
