EMAL seeks Emiratis at Tawdheef 2013 for 154% more targeted vacancies

In support of the initiatives set by the UAE’s President and Vice-President, Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) is attending the Tawdheef 2013 career fair with the aim of attracting and recruiting Emiratis to fill 154% more positions in comparison to 2012. Attending the career fair for the fifth consecutive year, EMAL is offering job opportunities for UAE nationals across multiple fields.

In consistency with its core value, ‘investing in today for the benefit of tomorrow’ EMAL maintains a robust Emiratisation programme utilising multiple initiatives to ensure the growth of a skilled UAE national workforce for the future. Emiratis holding a High School Diploma or certificates from the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) are eligible to apply for a place in the EMAL Pre-Employment Course (PEC) which provides training for non-supervisory positions. Lasting between six and 24 months, the PEC courses prepare trainees for jobs such as utility operators, technicians and assistant technicians across all EMAL departments including casthouse, carbon, maintenance or power.

Supervisory level positions are also available for UAE nationals with university degrees, who through a15-18 month graduate training programme, move forward to hold prominent positions within the company.

With its first Emirati scholarship student graduating and joining EMAL’s ranks last year, the Al Taweelah smelter continues  to invest in graduate trainees to build a skilled Emirati workforce. EMAL also offers Scholarship opportunities for UAE students attending recognised UAE Universities and colleges.
