Emarat participates in the UAE's 41st National Day

HE Adel Khalifah Al Shaer, Acting Director General of Emirates General Petroleum Corporation "Emarat", planted the tree of the union in the yard of the Corporation's headquarters in Dubai. The event was attended by senior officials, and came in line with the initiative launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, which aims to plant the tree of the union and take care of it.

His Excellency said that the directives issued by HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed regarding the tree of the union, is a renewal of the oath of loyalty and belonging to this country which has given both its nationals and residents comfort and security. He added that the "Gaf" tree is related to our land and country, as it represents the Emirati originality and is considered a national and historical symbol.

He also pointed out the His Highness's initiative came in time with the UAE's celebrations of its 41^st national day, and it will help strengthen the love of this land in the hearts and souls of the future generations, so that it would be just like the generous tree, continuously growing and giving, year after year.

His Excellency also said "I would like to take the opportunity of the national day, to extend my best wishes to our beloved country, its government and people. I pray to God Almighty to protect our country, and to grace it with glory and well being under the umbrella of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nhayyan the President of the UAE, and HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and their brothers the members of the Higher Council of the UAE the rulers of the Emirates."

He further said that Emarat's participation reflects the joy and pride felt by the Corporation and its employees on this day that commemorates the unity of seven emirates under one flag, as established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nhayyan and Sheikh Rashed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
