EMC showcases industry-leading solutions at COMEX 2012

EMC announced today its participation as the IT Transformation Partner of COMEX 2012, being held for the 22nd year from April 30th until May 4th at the Oman International Exhibition Center. The participation is part of EMC’s investment in the Omani market, which is in line with the government’s decision in making the development of ICT one of its strategic priorities through implementing a new growth and transformation plan. As one of the most recognized exhibitions in Oman, COMEX focuses on supporting and growing SMEs, which highlights the importance of IT in Oman’s future. EMC’s participation in Comex reflects its commitment to the Omani market and the value it will bring to Omani organizations to transform their IT.
During the 5 day exhibition, EMC will showcase a combination of its industry-leading products, solutions and services and cloud infrastructure technologies designed to help organizations accelerate their journey to the cloud, lower IT costs and improve the overall business agility.
Charbel Zreibi, Pre-Sales Manager, South Gulf, at EMC, will be delivering a presentation titled “Accelerating the journey to the cloud” at the Comex 2012 Conference. During his presentation, Charbel will introduce the recently launched EMC VSPEX Proven Infrastructure, a simple, efficient, and flexible reference architecture that accelerates the journey to cloud computing. EMC VSPEX is the industry's most flexible reference architecture designed in conjunction with Brocade, Cisco, Citrix, Intel, Microsoft Corp., and VMware.
EMC will also share its innovative strategies and pragmatic approach to transformation in order to maximize IT delivery effectiveness and cost efficiency. A senior delegation from EMC, including Wassim Abi Saab, Country Manager, Oman and Said Akar, District Manager for South Gulf will be available to discuss and address the issues and challenges in preparing the coming generation for the ever competitive market ensuring organizations are extracting the highest business value from their IT.
