Emirates Golf course to host the tenth qualifying round of the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge

Xerox, the leading enterprise for business process and document management launches the tenth qualifying round of the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge at Emirates Golf Club in Dubai on Thursday 5th April 2012. The tenth qualifying round will host over 100 players, where the top teams of each round will qualify for the Grand Final at Jumeirah Golf Estates in April. These finalists will have the opportunity to win a trip to the 2012 British Open Championship taking place in Royal Lytham & St Annes on the 19th – 22nd of July 2012. 

The Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge, managed by Troon Golf has received an increase in the number of supports/sponsors this year.  Avis Rent a Car and ABB are the main sponsors of the event and have been strong supporters since 2010. The Golf Challenge is also co-sponsored by Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas, this year’s main hotel sponsors as well as ECCO who also co-sponsor in addition to supporting the tournament in the past with events including ‘The Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin’; Crystal Gallery the Official Trophy Sponsor of the tournament, with media sponsors being Khaleej Times with the new addition of Golf Digest. 

Emirates Golf Club, host of the European Tour sanctioned Omega Dubai Desert Classic and Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, was the first all grass championship golf course in the Middle East when it opened in 1988. Taking pride in its 36 holes of world-class golf, the club sports two of the city's finest must-play courses, the Majlis and the Faldo Course, which is also the only 18 hole course in the region to offer night golf.

With teams collaborating from all over the Middle East for the 14th Annual Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge this year has proven to be the most diverse tournament as of yet, branching into new regions such as, Saudi Aramco. The number of participants who showed interest is constantly increasing, emphasizing the tournaments popularity.  Moreover, The Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge is active on social media forums such as Facebook. Xerox Emirates has launched a competition for fans that is live on the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge Facebook Fan page. The competition has already announced the first, second, third, fourth and fifth raffle winners. Prizes that have been won include a weekend stay for 2 at the Park Hyatt, a Xerox Phaser 3140 printer, a lunch for 2 at the Els Club, a Friday brunch for 2 at Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel and a Callaway Golf Club. Fans and golfers alike have the opportunity to win 1 of 2 prizes every raffle round.
