Emirates Grand Hotel holds friendly football match

Emirates Grand Hotel, the 50-storey tall tower conveniently located in the heart of Dubai’s business and commercial district, has recently organised a friendly football match for hotel tour operators and travel agents. 

Eight teams competed at the tournament dubbed as “Thanks Dubai!” held at the property’s rooftop tennis court. The team from 1001 Event Company emerged as the champion of the tournament. The winning team received a trophy, cap and t-shirts plus the opportunity to defend the title next year. 

Mr. Nasser Shams, Director of Sales & Marketing, Emirates Grand Hotel, said: “We would like to congratulate the winners of our first football tournament organised for the DMCs in Dubai. It was an event full of camaraderie and sportsmanship. We are very happy that it was a successful tournament and we plan to hold it every year. I’m sure the success of the event will gather more participation from other DMCs next year.” 

The friendly football match was Emirates Grand Hotel’s way of thanking the tour agents and operators who are earnestly and incessantly promoting Dubai as a safe and favourable destination in the region.
