Over 31 ENOC employees and family members volunteer for Dubai Chamber’s ‘Ramadan Care Packages’ 2013 charity event

A group of nearly 50 people, including 31 employees of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and 19 of their family members, took part in the Dubai Chamber’s ‘Ramadan Care Packages ‘13’ charity initiative, Dubai’s largest community-involved event.
Now an official charity event for the new Zayed Humanitarian Day held to commemorate the late H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Father of the Nation and Founder of the UAE, the Adopt-a-Camp ‘Ramadan Care Packages is among a series of activities that ENOC partners with to mark the Holy Month of Ramadan.
ENOC volunteers sorted out the boxes and placed them in designated spots for the convenience of other volunteering teams. The Care Packages, for distribution to workers in Dubai, include several items that have been specially requested by workers to improve their quality of living, such as brand-new mattresses, pillows, bed linen, towels, plates, toiletries for three months and one month’s worth of energy food.
Basma Essa, Senior Manager – Brand and Corporate Communications Management of ENOC said: “Our participation in the Ramadan Care Packages ’13 initiative led by Dubai Chamber and Adopt-A-Camp is a reflection of our corporate social responsibility commitment. We regularly take part in the event, which works to promote the welfare of the workers, who make significant contributions to our developmental projects.”
The winner of Asia’s top laurel for Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practice at the Asian Leadership Awards, ENOC supports and promote awareness campaigns on health, safety and the environment. With more than 6,000 employees across all subsidiaries, the group aims to involve more than 15 percent of the workforce in volunteer activities.
