The Innovation Based Leadership Program is made up of 21 high impact action-learning sessions that run over ten months. Each program cohort brings together ten project teams representing ten different organizations and industries. As part of the program, project teams would be taken back to the original problem that their projects came to solve, only to learn about creative problem solving and innovative thinking for REAL solution design. The project teams will be guided, inspired, coached and assessed on applying innovation on these actual projects brought from their organizations onto the program.
Projects are expected to evolve over the ten months of the program, if not change entirely from what they were initially set out to achieve, based on the creative problem solving and the innovation applied on these as a result of the action learning that has taken place during the program. A project-innovation committee formed by members from all of Altaaat Leadership Development, IBM Global and Masdar Institute including program Guest Speakers, will evaluate the progress and the evolution of each project, to select the winner for the Project Innovation Award, who will be announced in the Project Innovation Award Ceremony that would take place at the end of the program – coinciding with the Program Graduation! As part of the program, candidates will also have the opportunity to go on a coordinated program visit to one of IBM Global Innovation Hubs either in New York, London or Kenya.
