EQUATE and Schmidt+Clemens sign cooperation accord for ethylene cracker performance optimization global ethylene market to exceed 160 million tons in 2012

EQUATE Petrochemical Company and Schmidt + Clemens Group (S+C) announced signing a strategic cooperation agreement relevant to enhance and optimize production performance of ethylene crackers.
On this occasion, EQUATE Procurement Leader Ahmad Al-Saleh said: “As EQUATE owned and managed ethylene production capacities reach 1.8 million metric tons annually, this strategic accord leverages a decade long business relationship with S+C to implement solutions, best practices and latest technologies in operational and lifecycle optimization of ethylene crackers radiant coils.”
Al-Saleh added: “This partnership with S+C is a manifestation of EQUATE’s reputation and focus in the area of operational excellence as well as its determination to equally promote value adding strategic relationships through its Strategic Supplier Management Program.”
On his part, S+C Centrifugal Casting Division Managing Director Thomas Hellige said: “This strategic partnership will bring both our companies the great benefit of enhancing ethylene cracking coils performance and at the same time the opportunity to explore new key technology.
Additionally, S+C Middle East Sales Director Aurelio Muñoz appreciated EQUATE’S determination to pro-actively evaluate the option to implement the latest innovative generation of anti-coke resistant alloy, so called S+C Centralloy HTE as a part of this strategic cooperation agreement.
